Meet Nathaniel

Seems to be a tradition for D3 by now:
1) phone call in middle of a busy day
2) pack up car and head lickety-split to another state
3) pick up new baby boy

In this case, he's definitely a LITTLE boy. With the typical post-natal weight loss, he's now exactly 5 lbs.

Yeah, I said FIVE pounds. But healthy. All he needs to do is keep on eating well to gain some weight, and he'll be just fine.

He sleeps a lot. Which is what newborns do. Sometimes he just needs to open one eye to find out what his nutty family is up to now, especially that big brother!

Add another item to the list:
4) Grandma (Memere) follows

Do go over to check on d5's blog, too, for the latest Sweet Pea pictures.

And, as always, clicking on our Flickr badges will take you to lots and lots more pictures.

Knitting has resumed. Shedir is cast on, and will be posing for her first photograph shortly.

Hey, a grandma's only got so many hands, and baby cuddling comes first! There was a little rhyme that I had embroidered which hung on my wall for many years:

Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow
For babies grow up, as we've learned to our sorrow.
So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep,
I'm rocking my baby, and babies don't keep.

He's gorgeous! Congratulations to everyone :) (BTW, here I thought my kids were the only ones out there with a Memere any more -- my mom will love knowing she's not the only one!)
